Youth Program

All youth participating in the youth program must have a completed registration form and liability waiver on file. Parents or guardians should complete the parent information and liability release forms and mail the originals to the address on the form.


The Youth Program is geared for youth 7 and over. Parents or guardians are welcome to attend activities with their child and help out with the planned event. Children under 7 may participate in the activities if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Youth Program activities may change depending on the ages and number of youth registered for the events.

Thursday, July 17 - 10:45am to 3:00pm

H2Oasis Indoor Waterpark – Host Sponsored Tour. This is literally and figuratively the hottest spot in town with 84-degree water and 86 degree atmosphere. Take the plunge on the Master Blaster Water Coaster (must be 42" tall to ride), slide down the 7 slides on the Sea Dragon Pirate Ship, or just have a great time in the Wave Pool and the 575’ Never Ending River. Come make a splash!

Alaska Zoo - Host Sponsored Tour. This is guaranteed wildlife viewing at its best!!! Today’s Alaska Zoo sits on twenty-five wooded acres inhabited by approximately 100 animals. New exhibits and improvements of existing enclosures are ongoing, so come and visit.

Wildride Sled Dog Rodeo-Experience all 1,049 miles of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race in one action-packed, laugh-out-loud, dog-powered performance in downtown Anchorage! The Seavey family guides you through the history of sled dogs - from transport to sport – telling their real stories from the trail, and demonstrating the incredible power and athleticism of their Iditarod champion sled dogs, in this hilarious family oriented show.  After the show, meet the real Iditarod dogs and mushers, cuddle some adorable husky puppies, and get a picture with Flap Jack, one of the stars in Disney's "Eight Below".  Starring 20 sled dogs, 4 Iditarod mushers, including 2004 Iditarod Champion Mitch Seavey, and one polar bear.

trailExplore the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail - Host Sponsored Tour. Bike along the magnificent paved bike and walking trail. The trail follows the coastline about 10 miles to Kincaid Park and offers a panoramic view. Wildlife viewing is most abundant along the southern half of the trail where the trail departs from the more populated areas.
